eHive feature survey results

We have completed our inaugural eHive features survey. For those that participated in the survey, thank you for taking the time to fill this out. Your feedback is valuable for shaping our development plans.  We will be running surveys again in the future, as they are a simple and quick way you can help us prioritise our planned features. Advanced searching and more options for sorting and reporting featured highly in our survey results.

We used a scale of 1– 5 (1 = least important, 5 = most important) to rank twelve key features in eHive's future development.

How we shape our development roadmap

We gather ideas for future development from conferences around the world, at our free eHive workshops, on the eHive forum, and from direct contact with our users. From this, and with a close eye on international standards, we put together our development roadmap for the year ahead.

We will be updating the development road map soon. You will see a notice on the site when it is available.  From then on, you can access the updated roadmap the usual way, by the link that sits at the bottom of every page in eHive. The online features survey is the newest addition to gathering feedback, and the results will form part of our decision making process.

How to contribute ideas

You can visit the eHive forum at any time to place feedback and suggestions.

We release updates to eHive that are instantly available to everyone.  Some improvements are updates to the underlying functionality of the site, which you may not notice. Some updates include new features we have built.  We welcome feedback on how you use eHive, and suggestions for functionality you would like to see.

Testimonials

eHive has allowed the Tweed Regional Museum to easily publish our collection online, making it more accessible than ever before, revolutionising how we work and how far our collection can go. The back end of the system is incredibly easy to use, making it simple for staff with non technical backgrounds to publish the collection online. The team at Vernon have an excellent customer service ethos and help is never far away. We can’t recommend eHive to other small or medium museums enough!
